Every year on April 22, Earth Day is celebrated around the world, including at Charles University. This year, we marked the occasion by organizing a clean-up of the green area behind the Větrník dormitory.
At 3:00 PM, 24 students and staff met in front of the dormitory reception, picked up their equipment, and headed out in small groups to clean up the surrounding area. By the end of the afternoon, they had collected 19 bags of rubbish, with a total weight of an impressive 280 kg.
Along the way, they came across a rabbit and a hedgehog, and agreed that the most unusual item they found was a printer. We were delighted that the weather cooperated, and we would like to thank everyone who joined us and contributed to improving the local environment.
